About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Indigenous Research Coordinator to join Queensland University of Technology, Indigenous Australians, Chancellery Division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating the university's National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Medical Research Futures Fund Indigenous Health grant in partnership with Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead research projects and manage teams in an Indigenous health context.
  • Develop and implement research strategies to achieve project objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Maintain high-quality data management systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education, training, or relevant experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications in a field related to research data analytics and coordination, and extensive relevant experience in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander studies, public health, health sciences, social sciences, or comparable subject matter.
  • Extensive knowledge and proven experience with social justice, including a well-developed theoretical understanding of the impact of 'race' on real-life outcomes.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills in managing research projects, including the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage budgets.
  • High-level written and oral communication skills, with the ability to represent research effectively internally and externally.
