CNC Machinist

At Thales, we're driving progress in some of the world's most important industries, and we're looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our Acoustics Manufacturing Team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and operate machinery to produce parts for our assembly lines, using precision grinding equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to manufacture components.
• Ensure parts are machined to specification and within tolerance.
• Perform safety checks and routine maintenance on machines.
• Maintain machine cleanliness.
• Conduct quality checks and complete production documentation.
• Identify and report equipment failures/defects.

Requirements:

• Relevant tradesman qualifications - Trade experience in Fitting & Machining or Toolmaking.
• Proficient in setting up and operating grinding equipment.
• Experience with CNC machinery and basic programming.
• Knowledge of 5S and Kanban principles.
• Ability to perform machine maintenance and fault finding.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
