Secure Design Leader Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned security expert to lead our organization's enterprise-wide security architecture strategy.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead the review of security architectures across all domains (cloud, network, applications, data, IGA, IAM) and ensure secure design.
  • Serve as the Cyber Security Lead in architecture governance bodies, influencing decisions across all tech domains.
  • Own the security architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business strategy.

Key Requirements:

  • Expert-level knowledge in at least 2 specialized areas such as IGA, DLP, Zero Trust Architecture, Secure Software Development Lifecycle, or Cloud Security Posture Management.
  • Proven work experience as a Security Architect end-to-end across technology stacks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence decisions when required.

Desired Qualifications And Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Certifications in either CISSP, CCSP, or SABSA are required.
  • Experience in architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, SABSA, or Zachman.
  • 7+ years' experience working as a security architect.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading security architecture maturity assessments.
  • Experience working across complex organizational matrices.
