Cleaner and Catering Assistant Position

We are seeking experienced professionals to work in Aged Care and Education Facilities across Queensland.

Job Overview:

This role involves cleaning and sanitizing residential facilities, following established procedures to ensure high standards of cleanliness. The successful applicant will also work within the kitchen areas, responsible for providing food services that meet health and safety regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the residential facility as required
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment by adhering to established cleaning procedures
  • Using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Responding to requests from staff in a timely and professional manner
  • Following all safety and security protocols while working
  • Working within the kitchen areas of the Aged Care Facility to provide food services that meet health and safety regulations
  • Maintaining high standards of personal hygiene and uniform
  • Observing statutory health and hygiene regulations and reporting any hazards encountered

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a residential aged care environment
  • NDIS Clearance highly advantageous
  • Basic food hygiene knowledge
  • 2x Covid-19 Vaccinations + 1 Booster
  • Previous experience as a cleaner
  • Understanding of OHS legislation
  • Cultural awareness
  • Ability to work within a team or unsupervised
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable transport to get to and from sites
