Financial Accountant Role Summary

About this key financial role

The Financial Accountant plays a crucial part in achieving business objectives and strategies by supporting the finance team. Their focus is on ensuring financial performance and operational standards are maintained.

This role has an internal outlook, requiring collaboration with the finance team to undertake monthly accounting requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Production of accurate and timely financial reports
  • Full responsibility for month end journals and reconciliations
  • Providing assistance to branches and business in financial matters such as reviewing expenditure and internal controls
  • Assisting with reporting submissions for group finance and external auditors
  • Communicating results to key stakeholders
  • Supporting preparation of rolling forecasts and budgets based on key business drivers

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • A relevant finance/accounting qualification
  • Ability to work in a team

  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills

Desirable:

  • SAP experience
  • CA/CPA qualified or studying toward
