About the Role

The Westpac Group is seeking a highly experienced Credit Risk Specialist to join its successful Energy and Infrastructure portfolio as a Senior member in the Corporate and Institutional Bank (CIB) division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage credit risks within the business, including the early recognition of problem loans and implementation of remediation plans.
  • Support the Financial Markets and Product teams in the approval of as well as management of credit risk arising from trading and structured products.
  • Contribute to the strategic positioning of WIB to ensure that credit strategies and policies are appropriately aligned with business units' objectives.
  • Work closely with the business to optimise risk utilisation and maximise returns to the bank within risk appetite.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must be a highly experienced Institutional/Transactional Banking Credit Analysis/Risk professional with demonstrable experience and knowledge from the Energy, Industrials, and Resources sectors.
