We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a nursery hand. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in plant propagation, manual handling, and safe machinery operation.

About the Role:
  • Propagation and transplanting of plants will be a key part of this role, as well as preparing products for dispatch and picking and packing items.
  • The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal skills and communication, with previous experience in a nursery being desirable.
  • This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is able to work both indoors and outdoors, and is willing to assist in other areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Propagation and Transplanting: Our nursery hand will be responsible for propagating and transplanting plants, ensuring that they receive the best possible care and attention.
  2. Manual Handling: The successful candidate will be required to manually handle and lift equipment and products, so it's essential that they are physically fit and able to do so safely.
  3. Picking and Packing: As part of this role, you will be responsible for picking and packing items, ensuring that they are properly secured and ready for dispatch.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a nursery environment, although not essential, would be highly desirable.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for this role, as you will be working closely with colleagues and customers.
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors, depending on the needs of the business.
