The role of a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager involves overseeing the planning, delivery, and operation of global infrastructure. This includes managing servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure seamless connectivity to AWS services.
This position requires collaboration across functions to deliver safe, secure, and efficient infrastructure at a low cost. Key responsibilities include prioritizing and executing network changes and upgrades in Amazon data centers, managing cross-functional projects involving multiple teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Manage competing global projects simultaneously
- Interact daily with engineers, technicians, project managers, and senior management
- Run meetings, create timelines, and inform large groups of progress and obstacles
- Develop creative solutions to complex problems while keeping an eye on timelines and costs
- Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions
- Drive simplification efforts in engineering and project management
Required Skills and Qualifications:">
- 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
- Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure
- Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networks and data centers
