Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team in Canberra. This is a permanent opportunity offering the chance to work on complex enterprise-scale cloud projects.

Responsibilities include migrating on-premises systems to Microsoft Azure, designing and delivering secure, scalable, and resilient Azure-native infrastructure solutions, implementing automation through Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and modern scripting practices, partnering with application, security, and operations teams to enable seamless deployments, contributing to architecture reviews, cloud governance, and best practices, mentoring team members and supporting knowledge sharing within the engineering group, and documenting technical designs, processes, and handover materials.

  • Hands-on experience with migration tools (Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Arc).
  • Strong background in IaC (ARM Templates, Bicep, Terraform, Ansible).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines & DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of networking, security, and governance in Azure environments.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Sentinel).
  • Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate are highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in Agile or DevOps delivery models.
