About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Management: Develop and implement cost management strategies to ensure accurate budgeting and financial control over projects.
  • Estimation and Analysis: Provide detailed cost estimates for different stages of a project, from inception to completion, and conduct thorough analyses to optimize project efficiency.
  • Quantity Surveying: Measure and document quantities of materials and labour required, and ensure the precision of measured and priced work.
  • Financial Reporting: Compile financial statements, cost reports, and program assessments for project tracking and monitoring.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, clients, and consultants to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Strong Communication Skills: Demonstrate clear and non-threatening communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a solid understanding of the construction industry, including technical skills like measurement, pricing, and cost analysis.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Exhibit a proactive mindset, with the ability to think on your feet, solve problems, and adapt to changing situations with a positive attitude.
  • Time Management and Organization: Effectively manage time and resources within agreed boundaries, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Industry Knowledge and Trends: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, guidelines, and sustainability tools, and associated cost impacts.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, document management systems, and other relevant software.
