About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Paramedic/Nurse to join our team at the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) in Wagga Wagga. As a key member of our Mobile Patient Care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient transport care to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments and interventions on-road to ensure the highest level of care.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and treatment during on-road transport, prioritizing their safety and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Assess the effectiveness of interventions in accordance with RFDS MPC guidelines, NEPT regulations, and scope of practice.
  • Work independently and problem-solve within established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of RFDS MPC policies and procedures, as well as NEPT regulations, to ensure best practice and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Qualified as a Registered Paramedic or Division 1 Registered Nurse.
  • Hold current AHPRA registration (or pending approval for Paramedics).
  • Experience working in the non-emergency patient transport sector is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of NSW NEPT service specifications is an advantage.
  • Hold a FULL NSW Drivers licence and be able to drive in both city and country traffic conditions.
  • Availability to work shifts Monday – Friday.

Mandatory Vaccination Policy

As part of the application process, you will be required to provide evidence of the following vaccinations:

  • Hepatitis B.
  • Chicken Pox.
  • Measles, Mumps, and Rubella.
  • Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis.
  • Annual Influenza.
  • COVID-19 (2 vaccinations + booster).
