Grant Management Expert

Join a leading organisation in the health and medical sector as a Grant Management Expert. This role is responsible for securing and managing external funding that supports the organization's strategic priorities, with a particular focus on specialist training.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of grant acquisition and management, as well as exceptional grant writing skills. They will also possess strong financial management and reporting skills, expertise in program/project management and portfolio management, and proficiency in developing and implementing project frameworks, tools, and standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for proactively identifying, assessing, and securing grant opportunities that align with the organisation's strategic priorities. You will lead the preparation of high-quality applications in collaboration with subject matter experts, ensuring proposals are competitive and aligned with funder requirements.

You will develop and embed frameworks, standards, and tools to strengthen project management, compliance, and outcomes across the organisation's grant portfolio. You will oversee all aspects of grant budgets, reporting, governance, and compliance to ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment with organisational policies.

As a Grant Management Expert, you will manage the full lifecycle of externally funded projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery of outcomes within agreed scope, time, and budget. You will monitor progress, lead risk management, and maintain quality standards to strengthen effectiveness and consistency across the organisation's grant portfolio.

You will establish and maintain grant-related policies, frameworks, and quality standards to ensure compliance and consistency across all projects. You will build relationships and act as the key liaison with funding bodies, ensuring regular and effective communication, reporting, and compliance with all grant requirements.

Finally, you will coordinate contributions from staff, contractors, and project officers engaged in grant-funded projects, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify, assess, and secure grant opportunities that align with organisational strategic priorities.

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Project Management, or related field partnered with demonstrated experience in grant acquisition and management.

  • Proficiency in developing and implementing project frameworks, tools, and standards.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and people management experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of the health and medical sector.
  • Experience in the health, education, or not-for-profit sectors.
  • Familiarity with government funding and reporting requirements.
