Job Description

This role requires a strategic leader with a passion for public sector finance and corporate governance. Main Responsibilities: You will lead the Corporate Finance Unit, driving service excellence and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and organisational policies.

  • Key Accountabilities:
    • Manage financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant legislation.
    • Lead staff development, performance management, and foster a positive team culture in the Corporate Finance Unit.
    • Oversee capitalisation, asset accounting, and develop and review the Long Term Asset Management Plan.
    • Provide expert taxation advice and ensure accurate compliance and lodgement of tax returns.
    • Support treasury management, balancing debt and investment portfolios, and forecast cash flows.

You will also contribute to strategic initiatives within the Financial Services division and drive continuous service improvements.
