Library Applications Analyst Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Library Applications Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to improve the experience of students, academics, and researchers in discovering and accessing library resources.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that library applications interoperate with other enterprise systems, supporting the implementation, enhancement and maintenance of library systems, applications, and processes.

Key elements to this role include assessing and advocating for improvements to library systems and related processes, thorough documentation of systems including key interfaces with university systems, and seizing opportunities for library technologies to positively impact teaching, learning and research outcomes.

To succeed you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting integration between existing systems in a complex operating environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to make informed decisions regarding complex issues.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills allowing effective communication with staff across the organisation and a demonstrated commitment to a high level of customer service.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work as an effective team member or independently as required by the task or situation.
  • Knowledge of contemporary use of APIs, HTML, CSS, and scripting languages such as PowerShell.

The ideal candidate will have sound experience in functional system administration and configuration and current awareness of emerging technology and trends relevant to academic libraries.
