Urban Design Lead for Melbourne's Northern Suburbs

The Senior Urban Designer will play a key role in shaping the built form and public realm of Darebin's community, driving high-quality design outcomes across private and public development.
Key Responsibilities- Master Planning: Prepare, implement, and review master plans, policies, strategies, technical guidelines, feasibility studies, and site analysis to inform urban design decisions.
- Design Leadership: Contribute to the design, planning, and implementation of streetscape and civic realm projects within the City of Darebin, promoting design excellence through collaboration with stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Provide professional and consistent urban design referral advice to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
- A tertiary qualification in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field, accompanied by relevant experience as an Urban Designer.
- Demonstrated expertise in urban design, master planning, and built form strategies, including public realm and streetscape design and strategies.
- Possess excellent CAD, graphic design, and 3D modelling skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams and leading projects effectively.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including graphic presentation skills, to facilitate stakeholder engagement and project success.
