Job Overview

We are seeking a bright and enthusiastic School Age Sales Assistant to join our team. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring our store is well-stocked and merchandised, providing excellent customer service, and working as part of a small team.

Responsibilities
  • Stock and replenish shelves, displays, and inventory to ensure a high level of merchandising and presentation standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to queries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and mobile payments.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting any hazards or incidents.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and meet customer needs.
  • Assist with visual merchandising, creating attractive and engaging store displays.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and strong teamwork ethos.
  • Able to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and move around the store quickly and safely.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy when handling cash and operating the register.
  • Familiarity with retail software and systems, including point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.
