Senior Power BI Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and developing business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. They will be responsible for delivering high-quality reports, dashboards, and visualizations that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop reports using Microsoft Power BI Desktop Client
  • Develop tabular models (SSAS Projects) using Microsoft Visual Studio with RDS
  • View database objects using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • Synchronize content from local drive to platform Azure DevOps Repo using GIT tools
  • Provide information and request new DevOps release pipeline creation, folder and content related security setup including RLS setup post deployment as well as moving/deleting content on Power BI portals
  • Parameterise data source connections for SQL Direct query
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Advanced skills in Power BI
  • Advanced skills in DAX
  • Advanced skills in SQL and experience with relational databases and database design
  • Experience with cloud Data Warehouse solutions like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure, etc.
  • Familiarity with data ingestion tools such as SSIS & ADF
  • Working knowledge of Cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Proficiency in data pipeline and workflow management tools
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to guide and oversee the selection and application of data engineering methodologies, tools, and practices
