Job DescriptionAs an Early Childhood Teacher with us, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supervising kindergarten children, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care.
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating developmentally appropriate programs and activities that cater to the individual needs and interests of the kindergarten children, in line with the Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines.
- Fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, promoting open communication and collaboration.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of children's learning and development, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Creating a safe and inclusive environment where children can explore, learn, and grow while promoting their independence and self-esteem.
- Adhering to all policies, procedures, and regulations governing early childhood education and care.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Graduate Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood and Care (or equivalent) qualification.
- Current first aid qualifications (including CPR, asthma, and anaphylaxis training).
- A valid blue card (or ability to obtain one).
- Demonstrated experience working within an early childhood setting.
- A sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines and its application in practice.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
