Course Maintenance Team Leader

The team leader for course maintenance will be responsible for overseeing the upkeep of a golf course to meet industry standards. This involves implementing a comprehensive course management plan, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring efficient service delivery.

Key responsibilities include supervising staff, managing irrigation systems, and contributing to long-term planning for turf quality and course presentation. The role also entails mentoring team members, liaising with stakeholders, and maintaining relationships with contractors, residents, and visitors.

Safe and efficient golf course maintenance activities are paramount, as is fostering a positive team culture. Additionally, monitoring turf health and performance, maintaining operational records, supporting audits and continuous improvement processes, and providing structured training and coaching to team members are essential duties.

This position plays a crucial role in driving change across the organization by leveraging best practices to support the transformation program.

About You

Successful candidates will possess a diploma in sports turf management and significant experience in golf course maintenance. They should have a strong understanding of irrigation systems, pest management, and turf maintenance, as well as confidence in leading teams and coaching staff to perform at their best.

A highly organized, safety-focused individual who can build positive relationships with staff, contractors, and the community is ideal for this role. Proficiency in digital record keeping and managing irrigation control systems is also desirable.
