Job Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of database systems within the Oceania business. Key responsibilities include technical support, problem resolution, and database administration duties.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify and resolve potential system problems through to resolution;
  • Diagnose and implement solutions, engaging IT groups or external parties as required;
  • Develop and maintain database backup strategies to ensure continuity and reliability;
  • Review database schemas to ensure standards are met;
  • Ensure auditable procedures for resource management are produced and maintained;
  • Perform routine database failover testing to ensure standby systems are configured correctly;
  • Investigate escalated problems and provide resolutions in a timely manner;

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT disciplines;
  • Industry-recognised certifications in technical competencies;
  • 5+ years' experience in Oracle & SQL Server Database Management and Administration;
  • Experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL technologies;
  • Experience in Linux and Windows Operating Systems;
  • Experience in various scripting languages;
