Job Overview

The Maths and Science Curriculum Leader will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of students.

About The Role

As a key member of the teaching team, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the overall coordination of designated curriculum areas. They will apply contemporary learning and teaching research to classroom practice through professional development and supervision of staff engaged in these areas. Additionally, they will provide pastoral care to staff involved in a designated area of curriculum.

Key Accountabilities
  • Leading the coordination of curriculum areas
  • Applying contemporary learning research to classroom practice
  • Supervision of teachers engaged in an area of curriculum
  • Induction of new teachers within a curriculum area
  • Pastoral care of staff engaged in a designated curriculum area
  • Contributing to the leadership of the college through participation in staff and middle leadership meetings
  • Regularly communicating with the College Leadership Team regarding issues of interest or concern
Requirements

Experience in Boys' Education, boarding school environments or working in a rural/remote area is desirable. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality educational outcomes.
