About the Role

As a Personal Care Worker at Uniting AgeWell, you'll coordinate personal care for residents based on their individual needs and preferences. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide effective clinical and emotional support to residents, recognising changes in their conditions and escalating observations and concerns.

  • You'll deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents and families, considering cultural, spiritual, and individual needs.
  • You'll provide personal care to residents with complex needs, such as palliative care, dementia support, restorative care, and pain management, to enhance their wellbeing.
  • You'll support nursing staff regarding assessment, care planning processes, documentation, and evaluation of care outcomes.
  • You'll monitor the cleanliness, safety, environment, and promptly report any issues of concern.
About You

This role is suitable for individuals who have:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support, or equivalent (Aged Care).
  • Experience in residential aged care/home care is desired.
  • Experience with dementia care and palliative care support is desired.
  • Demonstrated abilities to support residents in a fast-paced environment with exemplary communication skills in a team and one-on-one interactions with all levels of care partners.

Essentials for Working in Aged Care
  • A current Working With Children Check card is required.
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations are necessary.
  • Australian working rights are essential.
  • The ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance is required.
