Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated individual to embark on an exciting career journey as a Parks and Gardens apprentice. This opportunity provides a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in the industry while pursuing a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.

As a Parks and Gardens apprentice, you will work full-time (38 hours per week) alongside one of our host employers, gaining valuable skills and knowledge in various aspects of the trade.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing and maintaining plant displays with precision and attention to detail
  • Cultivating turf, installing irrigation and drainage systems, and ensuring optimal growth conditions
  • Controlling weeds, pests, and diseases using sustainable and eco-friendly methods
  • Performing operational maintenance of machinery to ensure peak performance
  • Providing expert information on plants, products, and treatments to customers and colleagues alike

Required Skills and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, applicants must be eligible to complete an apprenticeship, possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, and demonstrate a strong commitment to learning and professional development.
