Product Development Manager

The Just Group is a leading Australian retail business, operating multiple iconic brands including Just Jeans, Dotti, Jacqui E, Jay Jays, Peter Alexander, Portmans, and Smiggle.
Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Product Manager to join our high-performing Womenswear team at Just Jeans. As a key member of our Buying team, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our business by developing and executing seasonal ranges that meet our brand's commercial and creative objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with senior managers to build and execute seasonal ranges from concept to delivery
- Manage the garment development process, including fabric selection, trims, and print development
- Develop buying plans that engage our target market and drive sales growth
- Benchmark competitors to optimize our product range and stay ahead of market trends
- Research and analyze market trends, product innovation, and competitor activity
- Negotiate with suppliers to deliver value for money and quality products that meet our margin targets
- Liaise with direct suppliers across multiple countries to ensure seamless product delivery
- Manage the critical path and production plan to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Monitor and analyze sales and margin performance to inform future range development and drive business growth
- Proven experience in buying and product development, preferably in a fast-paced retail environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage production and critical path processes
- Experience working with direct vendors across multiple geographies
- Commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Ability to understand and analyze budgets and margin calculations
- Adaptable approach with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong stakeholder relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
