Key Responsibilities:As an HR Business Partner, your role will encompass a variety of critical functions, including:
- Working collaboratively with diverse teams to assess their HR needs and deliver tailored support.
- Addressing employee relations issues to foster a constructive and engaging workplace environment.
- Managing intricate industrial relations scenarios, building strong partnerships with unions, and ensuring adherence to applicable laws.
- Creating and executing performance management initiatives to enhance both individual and team productivity.
- Offering knowledgeable advice on HR policies and practices to ensure equity and consistency across the organization.
- Conducting comprehensive investigations into employee relations and industrial relations matters, providing recommendations for resolution.
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.
- HR certification is advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant HR experience, with a strong emphasis on Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR).
- A thorough understanding of performance management concepts and their application in the workplace.
- Extensive knowledge of employment legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with staff at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience in managing grievances and mediating disputes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion.
- Previous experience in the public sector or local government is highly valued.
