As an HR Business Partner, your role will encompass a variety of critical functions, including:

  1. Working collaboratively with diverse teams to assess their HR needs and deliver tailored support.
  2. Addressing employee relations issues to foster a constructive and engaging workplace environment.
  3. Managing intricate industrial relations scenarios, building strong partnerships with unions, and ensuring adherence to applicable laws.
  4. Creating and executing performance management initiatives to enhance both individual and team productivity.
  5. Offering knowledgeable advice on HR policies and practices to ensure equity and consistency across the organization.
  6. Conducting comprehensive investigations into employee relations and industrial relations matters, providing recommendations for resolution.
Qualifications:
  1. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.
  2. HR certification is advantageous.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of relevant HR experience, with a strong emphasis on Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR).
  4. A thorough understanding of performance management concepts and their application in the workplace.
  5. Extensive knowledge of employment legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
  6. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with staff at all levels.
  7. Demonstrated experience in managing grievances and mediating disputes.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion.
  9. Previous experience in the public sector or local government is highly valued.
