Job Title:

Transport Advisory Director


  • Lead transport advisory projects from feasibility studies to delivery and operational readiness.
  • Manage consultancy assignments, ensuring appropriate team allocation and expertise.
  • Develop business plans and champion their implementation.
  • Establish a winning culture within the team.


Key Responsibilities

The role involves overseeing all aspects of the practice, including operational direction, technical expertise, and business administration. Key duties include:

  • Contributing to project delivery across the whole lifecycle.
  • Managing consultancy assignments, including planning, execution, and close out.
  • Ensuring each assignment is undertaken by individuals or teams with appropriate qualifications, expertise, and experience.
  • Preparing responses to requests for tender and bidding opportunities.
  • Developing business plans in support of identified ideas.
  • Establishing a winning culture within the team.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Extensive experience in railway operations and maintenance.
  • Ability to oversee and coordinate the development and implementation of maintenance strategies.
  • Excellent technical, project management, and communication skills.
  • Able to establish and maintain a network of clients and collaborators.
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and government representatives.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
