About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate or Principal Consultant to join our Climate Change & Net-Zero Strategy team in the APAC region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to our clients, including GHG emissions accounting, renewable energy, and decarbonization strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead client project teams and act as the project manager, providing technical support to junior colleagues and managing commercial risk.
  • Act as a client relationship manager, understanding and interpreting client needs and communicating client goals and objectives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the development and growth of junior colleagues.
  • Gather data using various techniques, including interviews, surveys, and data requests, and model and build scenarios.
  • Develop presentations and reports for clients.
  • Lead new business generation through proposal drafting and participation in new business pitches.
  • Conduct research, draft articles, and deliver events to position SLR as a trusted thought leader in sustainable business.
  • Support the development of new client products and offerings based on market needs and trends.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in climate change strategy, including GHG accounting, decarbonization strategies, and climate risk assessments.
  • Understanding of various net-zero and sustainability frameworks, including SBTi and ASRS.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to deliver client-ready presentations.
  • Ability to distil quantitative and qualitative data and communicate it succinctly to clients.
  • Master's degree in a related discipline (Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with relevant experience also considered).
