Job Opportunity: Vehicle Production SpecialistJob Description

The role of a Vehicle Production Specialist is pivotal to the success of our production team. This position involves carrying out and performing technical and non-technical build tasks for Vehicles and Subsystems within our Brisbane facility.

This role requires completing assembly tasks in first-run production according to Manufacturing Instructions, Engineering Drawings, Quality Standards, and WH&S requirements.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with assembly tasks for L400 Phase 2 Boxer vehicles and other vehicles according to Manufacturing Instructions, Engineering Drawings, Quality Standards, and WH&S requirements;
  • Supporting rework assembly tasks including fitting protection plates, brackets, and electronic subassemblies/cables/labels;
  • Contributing to vehicle build tasks including all assembly tasks in the production sequence from hull to finished vehicle;
  • Facilitating vehicle movements within the facility according to site rules and licencing requirements;
  • Performing crane operation and lifting tasks in accordance with safe working instructions;
  • Maintaining the safe and efficient storage of required parts, tools, and equipment in workshop areas;
  • Working in accordance with company-specific WH&S requirements;
Key Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Experience as a Trade Assistant or in a Production environment;
  • Ability to read and interpret production drawings, manuals, and technical documents;
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to task planning and effective time management, proven ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines;
  • A high level of self-motivation, initiative, the ability to work unsupervised, and willingness to participate and contribute as part of a team;
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
