Incident Response Specialist

The position involves coordinating and communicating the triage, identification, assessment and mitigation of cyber security incidents for multiple stakeholders. The successful candidate will be part of a high-performing team striving to drive outcomes and continuously improve their processes.

This role is ideal for a critical thinker who can work with ambiguity and provide clarity to stakeholders. Strong communication, engagement and stakeholder management skills are essential. The ability to navigate and optimise security technologies and operations is also crucial.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform cyber security incident response activities to identify, investigate and resolve incidents.
  • Work within a 24/7 on call rotational roster to enable the team to provide continuous incident response support.
  • Improve current processes and tools to maximise the efficiency and productivity of the team's technical capabilities.
  • Analyse and prepare content for reports on incident activities to team members, stakeholders and leadership.
  • Provide expertise in emerging cyber security risks, trends and technologies.
  • Support the embedding of a risk and control culture across business stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in Cyber Security, ideally incident response, within financial services industry or similar field.
  • Knowledge across a breadth of Cyber Security domains.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks within set timeframes.
  • Risk mindset and awareness of current and future risks.
