Drive Business Growth as a Senior Analytics Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Analytics Engineer to partner with our strategy and business teams. This role is responsible for transforming raw data into actionable intelligence, leveraging dbt, BigQuery SQL, and LookML (Looker).

About the Role

This position involves designing and developing reusable data models, metrics, and dashboards in Looker to provide a unified view of marketplace performance across the portfolio.

  • You will design and develop data pipelines in BigQuery using dbt that extract, transform, and load data from various sources, harmonising schemas and ensuring data quality.
  • Apply statistical methods and machine learning techniques to analyse data across the portfolio, identifying trends and opportunities for optimisation.
  • Develop predictive models and algorithms that leverage shared data to forecast key metrics and inform strategic decision-making.
Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience integrating and standardising disparate datasets, resolving data quality issues across the portfolio.
  • Exceptional SQL skills for querying, transforming, and analysing large datasets within BigQuery, with a focus on efficiency and scalability.
  • Experience designing and implementing flexible, scalable data models for multiple portfolio businesses, promoting standardisation and reusability.
  • Expertise in dbt for transformation and LookML for data modelling in Looker.
  • A strong understanding of business strategy and ability to translate needs into data-driven solutions.
