Job Opportunity

The Graduate Engineer will be responsible for contributing to industrial refrigeration projects, engineering design, and client solutions in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex engineering calculations and designs for refrigeration solutions.
  • Prepare detailed estimates for minor project work, including tender submissions to client specifications and deadlines.
  • Evaluate existing refrigeration plants and assist clients to modify systems as required.
  • Develop business growth opportunities by marketing GBI services to customers, including consulting, contract work, maintenance, and parts supply, with a significant focus on customer support.
  • Manage project costs and ensure successful project completion.
  • Prepare risk assessments for equipment and project work, ensuring compliance with health and safety systems.
  • Develop knowledge of applicable Australian and International standards and ensure compliance in equipment and project work.
About the Ideal Candidate:
  • Hold a tertiary qualification (minimum B.Eng.) in Mechanical, Process, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Have a conceptual understanding of creating, reading, and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be proactive and able to work autonomously.
  • Be keen to learn and develop through contact with various professionals, including fabricators, consultants, and tradespeople.
  • Hold a current valid driver's license.
  • Have a current right to work in Australia.
  • Be willing to undergo pre-employment checks, including reference checks, medical, criminal record check, and drug & alcohol testing.
