Job Title: Advanced Practitioner in Nursing/Midwifery

Job Description:

  • Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care to achieve individual/group health outcomes.
  • Coordinate care across a shift, serving as a resource and leader to other team members within a designated portfolio.
  • Plan, provide, and communicate nursing/midwifery care, including evaluation and revision of practice.
  • Promote positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership and role modeling behavior.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams and service remote communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively with healthcare professionals in remote clinics.
  • Ensure culturally responsive and safe services for Aboriginal clients.
  • Travel regularly to remote communities via 4WD or light plane.
  • Owning an NT driver's licence is required.

Selection Criteria:

  • Holding current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligibility for same.
  • Demonstrated expertise in nursing/midwifery practices.
  • Able to act as a clinical resource person and mentor.
  • Effective communication skills for achieving successful outcomes.
  • Knowledge of social and cultural issues affecting healthcare delivery.
