Senior Power Engineer Opportunity

Deliver successful client outcomes by leading technical teams in the design and delivery of primary/hv projects.

  • Oversee teams of engineers to undertake larger packages of work, including training and mentoring junior staff.
  • Contribute to strategic bids and tenders in future energy across ANZ and support cross business line activities.

This exciting opportunity will bring a mix of technical expertise and project management experience to deliver iconic projects. The ideal candidate will have solid fundamentals and proven capability across a range of areas.

The successful candidate will also have well-developed interpersonal skills and be able to manage stakeholder relationships, being an excellent communicator able to explain complex issues to a range of stakeholders (internal and external).

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead technical teams in the design and delivery of primary/hv projects from feasibility to completion.
  2. Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate project risks.
  4. Mentor and develop junior engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
  • Good technical engineering basis in transmission, distribution, or rail traction power.
  • Experience in substation primary engineering position across hv/ehv substations design.
  • Understanding of design and how it impacts on construction.
