Job Opportunity: Maintenance Trades Assistant

This is a full-time position that requires a qualified trades assistant or equivalent experience in a facilities maintenance role to maintain infrastructure, plant and equipment, and associated systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure maintenance tasks are completed to a satisfactory standard and in a timely manner.
  • Implement emergency procedures as outlined by policy.
  • Inspect building services, plant & equipment, and/or buildings/fixtures.
  • Raise work requests as necessary.
  • Close works orders as required.
  • Develop scopes of work and source quotations for tasks.
  • Provide first-line response to urgent requests and breakdowns.
  • Be responsible for permits for high-risk work as needed.
  • Liaise with facilities administrators to procure spare parts and materials and ensure adequate stock levels to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct audits on plant and equipment as instructed.
Key Requirements:
  • Qualified trades assistant or equivalent experience in a facilities maintenance environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a facilities maintenance setting.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and utilize available resources to achieve service delivery.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with technology platforms is desirable.
  • Commitment to providing a safe environment for patients and staff.
