Construction Manager Job Description

Manage a portfolio of new home builds from site start through to the final inspection and maintenance stage in the Bendigo region. As a construction manager, your primary focus is to oversee the entire building process, ensuring quality homes are built within set time frames and budgeted guidelines.

This is a full-time, on-going role that requires strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience supervising residential home builds, residential construction experience, and/or a strong trade background. You will work closely with clients, trades, and key stakeholders to ensure correct building practices and procedures are adhered to at all times.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and managing trades, establishing a reliable trade base
  • Building strong relationships with clients, trades, and key stakeholders
  • Ensuring correct building practices and procedures are followed at all times
  • Managing daily tasks such as paperwork and other administrative duties

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse customer group. Ideally, you will have completed the General Construction Induction Course/White Card and hold a valid driver's licence.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience supervising residential home builds, residential construction experience, and/or a strong trade background
  • A thorough understanding of Australian building regulations, WHS regulations, and Quality Assurance systems
  • Completed the General Construction Induction Course/White Card
  • Hold a valid driver's licence
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
