An exceptional opportunity exists for an accomplished Director of Nursing to lead the clinical and operational aspects of our 12-bed facility in a rural setting. In this role, you will demonstrate your strategic expertise and leadership skills while overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, legislation, and accreditation requirements.
Job Overview
We are Robinvale District Health Service (RDHS), a vibrant and dynamic Multi-Purpose Health Service providing flexible and coordinated healthcare services to communities in northwest Victoria and parts of New South Wales.
About the Role
This leadership position offers a unique chance to make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of our community. As Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for:
- Oversight of clinical operations, including patient care, treatment plans, and quality improvement initiatives
- Management of the nursing team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of care services
- Monitoring resident health, identifying trends, and implementing strategies to improve outcomes
- Mentoring and coaching staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- Previous management experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a rural or regional area
- Understanding of scope of practice, relevant legislation, and accreditation standards
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management and prioritization skills

- A base salary of $95,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
