Explosive Miner

This 12-week residential mining engineering program provides a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in underground operations, under the supervision of experienced professionals.

As a participant in this program, you will be involved in various tasks and responsibilities, including assisting with drill and blast design preparation, supporting ventilation and ground support inspections, collecting and analyzing production data, and updating mine plans and schedules.

In addition to these tasks, you will also participate in shift handovers and safety briefings, monitor equipment performance, and report any issues. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with operators and engineers on production improvements.

• You are currently enrolled in a Mining Engineering, Science (Mining), Engineering Science (Mining Engineering), or similar degree
• You have experience with relevant software and systems through studies or placements
• You possess strong problem-solving skills
• You have effective communication skills across verbal, written, numerical, and graphical formats
• You can uphold high work standards and build strong relationships with peers and leaders
• You have the capacity to work independently to meet personal and team goals
