Job Role:

A pivotal opportunity exists for an accomplished Television Broadcast Specialist. Your role will encompass presenting live and recorded weather content on various channels, while maintaining seamless collaboration with meteorologists to ensure accurate and engaging forecasts.

  • Present comprehensive weather updates in a clear and concise manner, adhering to the highest standards of journalism.
  • Develop and present compelling segments that captivate audiences and convey critical information effectively.
  • Maintain close communication with meteorologists to guarantee informed and timely forecast dissemination.
  • Respond promptly to urgent situations, such as severe weather events or breaking news developments.
  • Cover significant weather events through live reporting from the field.
  • Conceptualize and pitch innovative coverage ideas for notable weather stories.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment by writing scripts, editing vision, and sourcing guests as required.
  • Prepare attention-grabbing openers and teasers, including basic video editing tasks.
  • Create written content for digital platforms when necessary.
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum two years of experience as a television presenter.
  • Ability to effectively receive and disseminate weather-related information provided by meteorologists.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to confidently present on-air.
  • Skill in crafting engaging content for on-air use.
  • Capacity to report live in the field, both in real-time and non-realtime settings.
  • Demonstrated time management abilities, capacity to multitask, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Readiness to quickly grasp complex scientific concepts through focused training.
  • Able to work independently within a larger team structure.
