Job Overview:

The role of Senior Financial Strategist has been created to drive business growth through insightful analysis and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company's goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial expertise and support.
  • Lead business partnering, performance management, planning, and decision support for the team while spearheading strategic projects enterprise-wide.
  • Use your analytical mindset and financial expertise to enhance business performance, provide actionable insights, and offer a fresh perspective.
  • Assist in leading the Commercial Finance team to drive function performance with P&L ownership and management reporting.
  • Business partner with divisions and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Drive underwriting profitability analysis by product line, segment, and channel.
  • Manage and develop two high-performing direct reports.
  • Support reinsurance and capital planning initiatives through robust financial modelling.
  • Lead the end-to-end forecasting and annual budgeting process, long-term strategic planning, and provide advice on risks & opportunities.
  • Support decision making through financial modelling, insights, and analysis of key performance drivers.
  • Drive continuous process improvement, automation, and implement best practices.
Requirements:
  • Ideal candidate is a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business.
  • Extensive experience within a large & complex working environment and the Insurance sector.
