Job Title: Child Development Specialist

Support children with developmental delays and complex needs in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans aligned with the Aistear Curriculum and relevant policies.
  • Conduct observations, maintain records, and participate in review meetings to plan and develop child intervention plans.
  • Promote the health and wellbeing of each child, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with parents to achieve key learning outcomes for their child.
  • Engage with community groups to promote best practices in supporting children with intellectual disabilities.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum QQI Level 6 qualification in Childcare or Early Education.
  • Full, clean manual driving licence is essential, as you will be required to drive Kare vehicles.
  • At least 2 years' experience supporting children with developmental delays or complex needs in a preschool setting.
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviours and creating responsive environments tailored to diverse needs.
