The Role

  • The Assistant in Nursing works collaboratively with the nursing team, supporting the delivery of person-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong delegation skills and be able to work within a plan of care.

Selection Criteria

  • Current Health Service Assistant Certificate III (Aged Care) or equivalent, or recent equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of delegation and ability to work within a plan of care under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills through the use of information technology, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to identify and resolve conflict situations by managing own emotional responses and interacting with others in a professional manner.
