Job Opportunity

The Principal Electrical Engineer – Substations will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering critical substation infrastructure that underpins the transmission network. This individual will contribute to enabling new renewable energy zones and supporting Australia's transition to clean energy by working on some of the country's largest and most high-profile tier-one substation projects.

About You
  • You have strong fundamentals in electrical engineering and have demonstrated robust and innovative substation engineering designs.
  • You are confident in leading design teams and have a passion for coaching and mentoring emerging engineers.
  • You possess a broader range of skills that enable you to contribute to the power business more holistically.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in developing substation designs for high-voltage electricity networks is essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to deliver as part of a team is crucial.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines are vital.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively with a team of engineers and designers (locally and/or internationally) to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, are required.
  • Proven ability to manage client expectations while building strong relationships to achieve successful outcomes for all stakeholders is necessary.
  • A track record of delivering successful project outcomes is essential.
  • Any consultancy experience is advantageous but not essential.
