Senior Controls Specialist Position

This key role is instrumental in the implementation of electrical control systems. Key responsibilities include designing, documenting, testing and commissioning materials handling automation hardware and PLC software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and document electrical control systems for materials handling automation hardware
  • Test and commission PLC software
  • Lead installation teams during project execution
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in an Engineering or scientific discipline
  • 7+ years experience in electrical design and installation
  • Sound knowledge of AS3000 & AS4024.1 standards
  • Experience in machine control, safety and functional safety principles
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of configuration, programming and commissioning of PLCs (Siemens S7 preferred), variable speed drives, barcode scanners and safety devices
  • Willingness to travel during the installation and commissioning phase of a project within Australia and occasionally overseas
