Job Overview

Maritime Lecturer Job Description:

The Maritime Lecturer plays a crucial role in teaching and facilitating learning for students pursuing maritime careers. This involves creating engaging lesson plans, delivering instruction, and assessing student progress.

As a lecturer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners. You will also contribute to the development of curriculum and training programs, ensuring they align with industry standards and requirements.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students and shape the next generation of maritime professionals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Marine engine driver Grade 1 near coastal (MED1) or Higher Maritime Engineering Qualification (or equivalent)
  • At least 5 years of vocational or lecturing experience relevant to this position
  • Ability to facilitate and encourage learning
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or higher recognised teaching qualification) or ability to demonstrate progression towards it
