About the Role

This is a key position within the Nursing & Clinical Health team at Chisholm Institute of TAFE, responsible for providing operational support and leadership in the development of strategies and programs that promote educational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality operational support and leadership to the Nursing & Clinical Health team
  • Develop and implement strategies and programs that promote educational excellence
  • Collaborate with the Manager - Nursing & Clinical Health and peers in Nursing to manage and lead the implementation of educational excellence, business growth, and opportunities that enhance the Institute's reputation and meet industry and community needs
  • Provide contemporary teaching and learning leadership and expertise in the subject matter area and educational excellence
Requirements
  • Adult Teaching qualification at AQF 6 level or higher
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent to meet the standards
  • Vocational qualifications relevant to or above the level required and industry currency
  • Registration with professional bodies as required for the teaching discipline

  • Demonstrated successful experience in the delivery and development of contemporary educational programs that meet learner, industry, and community needs
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level organisational skills and the ability to coordinate resources in significant program areas
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, and use tools in assessing learner competence and abilities
  • Demonstrated evidence of ongoing vocational and professional development
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging program materials and training sessions
  • Ability to identify potential setbacks and challenges in a classroom environment and effectively resolve these
  • Ability to motivate and guide students to optimise their learning outcomes
  • High level awareness of, and responsiveness to, learners from diverse backgrounds
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing circumstances within and outside the classroom
  • Openness to new ideas and the ability to implement them
  • Proven experience in developing innovative educational delivery methods
