Our company has multiple sites located across Victoria, with our Tatura location currently employing over 350 employees. We are seeking a Full-Time Picking Leading Hand to join our busy, collaborative team.

**About the Opportunity**

Our organization is experiencing significant growth and expansion, which has created opportunities for passionate and motivated individuals to join our Picking Leadership team. In this role, you will have the chance to develop your skills among other trained professionals who share your passion for leadership in the Horticulture industry.

The Picking Leading Hand is an entry-level leadership position responsible for assisting the Picking Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the Glasshouse, as well as implementing picking strategies to achieve production goals. This is a hands-on role where you will spend most of your time working in the Glasshouse.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assist the Picking Supervisor with managing the Glasshouse operations
  • Implement and manage picking strategies to achieve production targets
  • Work collaboratively with the Picking team to ensure successful operations
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for picking tasks
  • Manage training schedules for new picking recruits
  • Prepare daily work orders and estimates in the absence of the Picking Supervisor
  • Conduct stock control and maintain accurate records
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills
  • Collaborate with the Picking team to identify and implement process improvements
