We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Development Specialist in Acute Surgical Care at Monash Health, Victoria's largest and most comprehensive health service.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to take their career to the next level, working in a fast-paced acute surgical unit. As a Clinical Development Specialist, you will be responsible for undertaking clinical training to deliver high-quality care and engaging in portfolio management to ensure adherence to National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.

You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based practices, ensuring the highest level of care for patients with varying presentations. Your exceptional clinical judgement and critical thinking skills will enable you to make informed decisions, driving quality improvements in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake clinical training to deliver high-standard care
  • Engage in portfolio management to ensure NSQHS Standard compliance
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based practices
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Experience in acute hospital settings, preferably surgical
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A willingness to learn and grow your leadership capabilities
