Cardiac Echo Sonographer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing cardiac echocardiograms on both inpatient and outpatient populations using advanced ultrasound technology.

The role involves:

  • Recording and archiving appropriate study images to the image archive system.
  • Participating in clinical trials and triaging of request forms and test requirements.
  • Interfacing with wards and units in often stressful situations, communicating emergency findings effectively to the Director of Cardiology or Cardiologist on call.

Requirements

  • Diploma of Medical Ultrasound (Cardiac) or equivalent and current ASAR accreditation as a fully qualified sonographer.
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent as per the award.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to transcribe data accurately and demonstrate interpersonal and organisation skills.
