  • At our company, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pig Farmer to join our team. As a Pig Farmer, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the piggery, including organizing and conducting all necessary farming operations.">
  • You will assist in the running of the site and facilities in terms of required human resources, physical resources, safety requirements, consumables, documentation, and measurement devices.">
  • Additionally, you will assist in maximising the incoming, outgoing, and internal flow/logistics requirements of the farm, including organisation of the selection and transportation of livestock.">
  • You will report to and liaise with the farm manager regarding farm operations, staff operations, and site works delivery.">
  • You will plan, organise, control, coordinate, and perform farming operations to raise livestock.">
  • Under guidance from the farm manager, you will monitor and optimise herd health, condition, and performance of livestock.">
  • You will assist in general farming activities such as maintenance, machinery, water systems, pens, sheds, pest control activities, etc.">
  • You will assist in maintenance and compliance of the Company Quality Assurance program for the site ensuring that all relevant documentation is kept current.">
  • You will supervise and participate in daily inspection of livestock, ensuring compromised animals are individually assessed, identified, treated, and recorded in accordance with the Herd Health Plan and the industry's Model Code of Practice.">
  • You may also be required to work with and supervise any less experienced stockperson.">
  • Successful applicants will have previous piggery experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, high organisational skills and attention to detail, willingness to work a 1 in every 3-weekend roster, be self-motivated, able to follow procedures, able to work well in a team environment, able to work to high animal welfare standards, physically fit – labouring required and physically demanding tasks, Current Australian C class Driver's Licence, and an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Certificate III in Agriculture (Pig Production), OR equivalent qualifications + 3 years of recent and relevant work experience, OR 5 years of recent and relevant work experience.">
