Learning Support Partner

Independent schools value dedicated professionals who can provide individualised support to students with additional needs or disabilities. As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers to assist in delivering differentiated instruction and associated assessment tasks.
The successful candidate will be a caring and passionate individual with a strong understanding of educational principles. Experience in working with students or young people in a supportive setting is an advantage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing assistance in developing and implementing effective learning plans
- Supporting teachers in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assisting in the management of student behaviour and wellbeing
The Waymaker Program provides high-quality education for students who require alternative arrangements due to anxiety, depression or PTSD. We aim to see these students grow and thrive in their social connectedness, wellbeing and learning.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in supporting students with additional needs or disabilities
- A strong understanding of educational principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
